Ingredients:

  • eggs - 2 pieces;
  • crab sticks - 200 grams;
  • hard cheese - 200 grams;
  • potatoes - 2 pieces;
  • carrots - 1 piece;
  • green parsley and dill;
  • small onion;
  • vinegar;
  • a pinch of salt and sugar;
  • mayonnaise.

Very tasty and tender “Velvet” salad. Step by step recipe

  1. Boil two potatoes in their skins and peel. Grate on a coarse grater.
  2. In order to pickle onions, you need to mix water with vinegar, add salt and sugar, and pour finely chopped onions with this marinade. You can watch the video recipe for more details on how to pickle onions.
  3. Boil the eggs and grate on a medium grater.
  4. Cut the crab sticks with a knife. I don’t cut it very finely, as for me, then the salad turns out tastier.
  5. Grate hard cheese on a fine grater.
  6. Finely chop fresh parsley and dill.
  7. Grate fresh carrots on a fine grater.
  8. Lay the salad in layers.
  9. Grease each layer of salad with mayonnaise.
  10. We form the salad in a serving ring in the following sequence: potatoes and add salt to taste, eggs, crab sticks, pickled onions, hard cheese, some fresh chopped herbs, carrots. Sprinkle the top of the salad with grated hard cheese for decoration.
  11. Leave the salad in the ring for an hour to soak.

We present you a recipe for an everyday salad. It turns out to be soft and quite light. All the products in it fit perfectly together and complement each other.

The classic version of the salad uses mayonnaise. But we will replace it with homemade mayonnaise sauce. See sauce recipe

Required Products

  • eggs - 3 pcs
  • crab sticks - 0.2 kg
  • raw carrots - 200 gr
  • potatoes - 150 gr
  • hard cheese - 0.2 kg
  • greens for decoration
  • mayonnaise sauce

Let's start cooking

  1. We prepare the products. Boil the potatoes and grate them. Boil the eggs and grate them. Chop the crab sticks well. We also grate peeled raw carrots and hard cheese.
  2. We collect the salad. Place a cooking ring in the center of the plate. If it is not there, then we collect the salad just like that. We lay out the products in layers, coating each with mayonnaise.
  3. The order of laying out the layers is as follows: potatoes, eggs, crab sticks, greens, carrots and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Let it sit for 2 hours and serve.

To describe the “Velvet” salad, just two words are enough - very tender. The salad got its name well deservedly. You will understand this when you try the first spoon of salad. You can prepare such a salad for your household or for a holiday table. Rest assured, your guests will be delighted with this salad.

Velvet salad with crab sticks and potatoes

Required ingredients:

  • potatoes – 1 pc.;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • crab sticks – 7 pcs.;
  • mayonnaise – 3 tbsp;
  • hard cheese – 150 gr.;
  • dill and parsley.

Cooking process:

Boil the potatoes in their skins until tender. Then cool the potatoes and peel them. Cut the potatoes into strips and place in a salad bowl.

The eggs also need to be boiled and then cooled. Peel the eggs and chop them finely with a knife. Add to chopped potatoes.

Grate the cheese using a grater, preferably a coarse or at least medium grater. Cut the crab sticks into small cubes. Add crab sticks and cheese to the salad bowl.

Wash the greens. Shake the greens well and then finely chop them with a knife. Place in a salad bowl.

Season with salt and pepper and then season with mayonnaise. The salad can be served immediately.

Velvet salad with raw carrots

Required ingredients:

  • eggs – 3 pcs.;
  • potatoes – 3 pcs.;
  • cheese – 200 gr.;
  • crab meat – 200 gr.;
  • carrots – 2 pcs.;
  • mayonnaise – 250 gr.

Cooking process:

Boil potatoes and eggs first, then cool. Peel the potatoes and grate them. Place the potatoes in an even layer on the bottom of the plate and brush with mayonnaise.

Peel the eggs and also grate them. Place eggs over potatoes. Lubricate with mayonnaise. Grate the crab meat or chop it very finely. If you don't have crab meat, use crab sticks.

Place crab meat on eggs and brush with mayonnaise. Then lay out the grated cheese, which is also greased with mayonnaise.

Peel the raw carrots and grate them. Place the carrots in the top layer and generously coat with mayonnaise.

Place the salad in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours, or even overnight, to soak the salad.

Velvet salad with potatoes and carrots

Required ingredients:

  • potatoes - 1 pc.;
  • crab sticks – 4 pcs.;
  • cheese – 50 gr.;
  • mayonnaise – 1 tbsp;
  • carrot – 1 pc.;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.

Cooking process:

Boil the potatoes and carrots until tender, without peeling them. Also boil the eggs and place in cold water.

When the potatoes and carrots have cooled, peel them and cut into thin strips. Grate the cheese and add to the chopped vegetables.

Finely chop the crab sticks and mix with other ingredients. Season the salad with mayonnaise, not forgetting to add salt.

Place the finished salad in a beautiful mound on a plate. Grate the peeled eggs and sprinkle them on top of the salad. Garnish the salad with dill and parsley.

Velvet salad with walnuts

Required ingredients:

  • carrots – 2 pcs.;
  • potatoes – 3 pcs.;
  • crab sticks – 200 gr.;
  • eggs – 3 pcs.;
  • mayonnaise;
  • hard cheese – 200 gr.;
  • walnuts – 100 gr.

Cooking process:

Boil potatoes and eggs. When the potatoes have cooled, peel them and grate them. Place the potatoes on the bottom of a salad bowl or plate and brush with mayonnaise.

Also peel and grate the eggs. Place on potatoes, then coat with mayonnaise.

Frozen crab sticks must first be thawed. Chop the crab sticks very finely and place on the eggs. You can also take crab meat. Lubricate crab sticks with mayonnaise.

Chop the walnuts or grind them not very finely in a blender. Sprinkle the salad with nuts and place the grated cheese on top. Lubricate with mayonnaise.

Peel the raw carrots and grate them on a fine grater. Place on top of the cheese and spread with mayonnaise.

Place the salad in the refrigerator to soak for a few hours, and then serve.
