The recipe that I have prepared for you today is rooted in the ancient traditions of Indian culinary arts. In this regard, the dish has its own unique name - tamatar panir malai, which has been invariably used for centuries. And, as is typical for Indian cuisine, the recipe itself has never changed. If we approach the name in our way, then it will mean fried tomatoes with cheese.

The ingredients for the dish are used only natural, preferably self-grown and cooked at home. In India, only this approach is applied to products.

Tomatoes for the dish are better to choose medium-sized, with a fragrant smell. Unfortunately, we often come across watery and tasteless tomatoes in our stores. Therefore, it is better to spend some time to find good promidors. Another ingredient of the dish is made from milk, which in India is called paneer. We got acquainted with its cooking technology earlier.

Tamatar panir malay is very tasty, tender and satisfying. And, as it should be for an Indian dish, the recipe is completely balanced in terms of nutrients.

Ingredients:

- paneer (homemade cheese) 450 g

- tomatoes 700 g (8-10 pcs)

vegetable oil 3 tablespoons

- cumin seeds 2 teaspoons

We wash tomatoes and greens. Cut the paneer into fairly large cubes (about 2.5 cm on each side). Cut the tomatoes into 8 slices. If the fruits are small, then you can cut into 6 parts.

  1. Heat up a skillet over medium heat. Add oil to it and heat it up. We send the cumin seeds there and fry them until dark in color for 30 seconds. Turn the heat up to high and add the tomato slices to the pan. We need them to be fried on all sides, and not stewed in own juice. Therefore, we turn the tomatoes quickly, but carefully.

All actions are performed on high heat, so be careful when you start putting tomatoes in the pan. Their juice, when in contact with hot oil, will splatter. Don't get burned.

When the tomatoes are fried, you can add the cheese cubes and gently stir the dish so that the pieces of tomatoes and paneer do not fall apart.

  1. Add salt, ground black pepper and turmeric to the pan. Mix everything again and continue to fry over high heat for 2-3 minutes. At the very end, you can evenly pour the contents of the pan with sour cream.

No matter how many times I cook tamatar paneer malai, this dish absolutely always turns out to be very tasty. In addition, it can be diversified by adding cauliflower or green peas. Additional ingredients should be steamed beforehand. They can be put in a dish along with paneer. I love to serve roasted green beans with this recipe.
